Bilateral partnership

Gandia - Rožňava Partnership 2012/2013

Natural and cultural heritage form an important part of the cultural landscape and the shaping of its character. Natural and cultural heritage should be integrated into the educational process. Multicultural education, awareness, and the feeling of our own cultural identity should be the results of this process. But also the integration into the multicultural society and learning of foreign languages. The aim of this project is to represent our region beyond the borders. Within the project we would like to:
- Create a space for learning and presentation of natural and cultural heritage of the region which the students live in every day.
- To familiarize students with cultural issues and comparisons of the problems in each of the participating countries.
- To get to know the gothic roads of the Gemer and Valencia regions from a cultural historical perspective, and to visit the most important sights of this journey.
- To strengthen the feeling of local patriotism of the participating students through learning about the regions.
- By the implementation of different  activities, the pupils will also present the less-known sites of their countries – via Glogster (interactive posters).
- The output will be a documentary film, which will consolidate the information and communication competencies.
- To promote the European dimension in education we will implement the plurilinguism preferred by the European Union.
- The final products will be carried out in three languages (Spanish, English and Slovak), which will help to develop the language skills, and to increase the awareness of intangible cultural heritage.
- The participation in this bilateral project will enable us to achieve these objectives and allow us to develop the European dimension of our school.
